Planet 51 is an alien world populated by extraterrestrials who reside in a society that bears a striking resemblance to 1950s-era American suburbia: white picket fences abound, drive-in movies are all the rage, and the constant fear of an alien invasion keeps the citizens of this oddly familiar world constantly gazing into the stars in anticipation of the worst-case scenario. When a mysterious spaceship touches down and a strange astronaut from the planet Earth emerges, it seems like Planet 51's greatest fear has finally become a horrifying reality.
